Lights ... Camera ... Cycle!

The 1,300 Cyclists & Roadies of AIDS/LifeCycle 2 generated more than $4.1 million in donations for the HIV/AIDS services of the L.A. Gay & Lesbian Center and the San Francisco AIDS Foundation. To document their achievement, we revved up the laptops and digital camcorders for a daily webcast of AIDS/LifeCycle 2003.

We're featuring stories from the road, video clips, and hundreds of photos, allowing supporters to partake in this emotional and rewarding journey. Each day from June 8-14, our own webcast team documented the highlights -- opening and closing ceremonies, rest stops, steep hills, camp life -- and uploaded them to the AIDS/LifeCycle website every night.

We're showcasing blogs written en route by a diverse group of participants. Website visitors sent more than 5,000 emails of support to AIDS/LifeCycle participants, which we posted in camp each night for everyone to enjoy. We also set up a webcam so participants could record a 30-second audio/video greeting.
